Join our team as a Mold Setter and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mold change processes. You will work closely with a team to perform multiple mold changes per shift, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
ResponsibilitiesPerform 4-5 mold changes per shift, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, including lockout tag out procedures.Remove and replace molds, unscrew hoses, and transport molds to and from the tool room.Attach water lines, dial in temperature settings, and conduct a first piece run-off.Troubleshoot first pieces to ensure they meet specifications before proceeding to the next mold change.Work collaboratively in 2-man teams to support production needs.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience in mold or die setting within the plastic industry.Proficiency in operating crane and Hilo equipment, with at least 2 years of experience.Ability to work 6 days a week, with occasional 7-day work weeks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in first piece troubleshooting, addressing issues such as burns, splay, and shorts.Experience with extrusion and plastic injection presses is a plus.Why Work Here?As a direct hire, you will enjoy comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to work in a smaller location with a welcoming, family-like atmosphere.
Work EnvironmentOur facility is a very clean and modern manufacturing environment. You'll work with smaller extrusion machines and dual profile rotary, double-shot injection presses such as Engels and Van Dorns. Our state-of-the-art facility includes 60-ton overhead cranes and offers a supportive team environment with shifts running 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, across three shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am).
