Mold Maker/Tool And Die Maker
**Job Description** The Mold Maker studies blueprints, sketches, models, work instructions, and specifications to produce fabricating tools, dies, injection molds, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies using a variety of machine operations within close tolerances. The role involves conducting test runs with completed tools, molds, or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications. Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauge blocks is essential. The Mold Maker develops specifications from general descriptions and draws sketches of parts or products to be fabricated. They also meet production schedules and adjust them to meet expedited or increased production requirements. Collaboration with Engineers, Production Personnel, Programmers, and others is crucial to resolve product and equipment issues and to develop new products, tools, and processes. **Responsibilities** + Produce fabricating tools, dies, injection molds, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies using machine operations within close tolerances. + Conduct test runs with completed tools, molds, or dies to ensure parts meet specifications. + Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments. + Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products to be fabricated. + Meet production schedules and adjust them to meet expedited or increased production requirements. + Collaborate with Engineers, Production Personnel, Programmers, and others to resolve product and equipment issues. + Work with Engineering to develop new products, tools, and processes. + Perform preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the operating life of all tooling. + Resolve and record work orders and specifications requiring repair or maintenance in collaboration with coworkers. + Demonstrate familiarity and compliance with all ISO/TS standards. **Essential Skills** + Toolmaking experience with molds + 3-5 years of Tool Design and Mold Making + Experience with Wire EDM + Proficiency in CNC Machining **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment where collaboration and innovation are highly valued.
