Job Title: Mold Cleaner Operator

Job Description

As a Mold Cleaner/Tool Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our production tools. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Tooling Manager and assist in tooling activities within the tool and mold shop, thereby aiding plant manufacturing processes.

1st shift: 6am to 2:30am

$19.50/hr

Responsibilities

Grind tools, weld hinges, and handles.Clean production tools efficiently and timely as per the daily schedule.Locate and replace tooling in mold storage racks.Notify the team when tooling is ready and deliver it to the production floor.Monitor tooling wear and damage, and inform the supervisor.Adhere to company policies, safety, ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices.Understand and implement health and safety policies.Maintain hand tools and air hoses.Inspect equipment such as mills, saws, drills, grinders, and lifting equipment.Inspect machines for oil and air leaks and lubricate with correct oils and grease.Inspect incoming steel/aluminum for size and defects.Prepare plates for tooling manufacturing.Read and understand basic tool/part drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Entry-level position with no prior experience or resume needed.Nice to have some past production/manufacturing experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Spanish language proficiency acceptable.Eager and positive attitude.Desire to enter the manufacturing industry and grow with the company long-term.

Work Environment

The facility specializes in rubber parts for the aerospace industry and is equipped with numerous injection molding machines and hot presses. It operates under lean six sigma principles and is highly organized. Although the machines can generate heat, the facility is equipped with AC units to maintain a comfortable temperature. This is an ITAR facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
