**Job Title: Mobile Engineer 3** **Job Description**
The Mobile Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple facilities. The role requires technical expertise in a primary craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, with multi-skilled capabilities in other areas.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
+ Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper function and maintenance.
+ Manage facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
+ Conduct maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimal performance levels.
+ Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
+ Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
+ Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
+ Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
+ Adhere to all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas, recognizing danger and safety hazards, and proposing methods to eliminate them.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
+ Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action.
+ EPA 608 Type II Certification.
+ Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel.
+ Valid driver’s license.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ EPA 608 Universal Certification.
+ Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

**Work Environment**
This role involves traveling between facilities within the Greater Grand Rapids area, with distances ranging from 10-15 miles between locations. Initially, the position requires using a personal vehicle with reimbursement at 72 cents per mile. After three months, a company work van will be provided. The candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

This is a Contract position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
