Mobile Chief Engineer
Job Description The Mobile Chief Engineer leads daily facility operations across commercial bank branches, with a strong emphasis on maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systems including RTUs, AHUs, condensers, and related mechanical components. They supervise a team of seven mobile building engineers while ensuring all preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance is completed efficiently and compliant with safety and regulatory standards. The role includes hands‑on repair work alongside responsibilities such as lighting, minor electrical and plumbing tasks, and vendor oversight for inspections. They maintain accurate asset documentation and work order tracking through CMMS platforms while managing approximately 30% administrative and 70% field‑based duties. Skills and Requirements 6+ years of hands‑on preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including RTUs, AHUs, condensers, and related components 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience overseeing maintenance or engineering staff Strong MEP background in commercial facilities Proficiency with CMMS systems for work order and asset management EPA Universal 608 certification Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Must be local to the Washington, DC area with the ability to travel across DC, Maryland, and Virginia branch locations (bi-monthly / quarterly travel to Florida branches) Experience with BMS/BAS and other building controls systems Multi‑site or mobile engineering team supervision experience
