Responsibilities:
1. Ingredient Preparation & Scaling
Weight & Measurement: Accurately weigh and measure dry and liquid ingredients according to formula sheets using industrial scales.
Staging: Organize and stage ingredients for upcoming batches to ensure zero downtime for the mixing equipment.
Verification: Double-check lot codes and expiration dates to ensure all raw materials meet quality standards before use.
2. Mixing Support
Equipment Operation: Assist the Lead Mixer in operating industrial mixers, blenders, and agitators.
Loading: Manually or mechanically load ingredients into mixing bowls or hoppers in the specific order required by the recipe.
Monitoring: Observe the mixing process for consistency in texture, color, and temperature, reporting any deviations to the supervisor.
3. Food Safety & Sanitation
HACCP Compliance: Strictly follow all Food Safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
Cleaning: Perform "Clean-in-Place" (CIP) procedures or manual deep cleaning of mixing bowls, utensils, and workstations between batches or flavor changes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, including batch weights, temperatures, and cleaning checklists.
4. Material Handling & Safety
Inventory Control: Notify the warehouse or lead when raw material stocks are running low.
Safety Protocols: Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when cleaning or maintaining machinery.
Waste Management: Properly dispose of food waste and packaging materials in accordance with facility recycling and disposal policies.
Working hours: 4:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Food Industry Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing, commercial bakery, or industrial kitchen setting.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of how industrial machinery works, allowing for quicker troubleshooting of mixers and conveyors.
Certification: Possession of a valid Forklift Certification or a Food Handler's Permit/ServeSafe certification.
Computer Literacy: Experience using digital inventory systems or touch-screen interfaces (HMIs) on production machinery.
Chemical Handling: Knowledge of proper titration and handling of sanitation chemicals for deep-cleaning procedures.
