**Job Title: Mixing/Blending Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mixer Operator to join our plastics manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating industrial mixing equipment to blend raw materials according to precise formulations, ensuring high-quality plastic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing setting, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. **Responsibilities** + Operate and monitor mixers to combine raw plastic materials according to specified recipes and production schedules. + Weigh, measure, and load raw materials such as resins, additives, and colorants into the mixing equipment. + Ensure proper blending and consistency by inspecting mix batches for uniformity and quality. + Adjust settings and troubleshoot issues to maintain efficient and safe operation. + Maintain accurate production records, including batch logs and material usage. + Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of mixing equipment to prevent contamination. + Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE during operation. + Assist with inventory management by tracking material usage and reporting low stock. + Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to meet product specifications. **Essential Skills** + Experience in mixing, manufacturing, chemical production, and blending. + Chemical handling and batching experience. + Ability to read and interpret work instructions, material safety data sheets (MSDS), and batch records. + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. + Basic math and measurement skills. + Attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications a plus. + Previous experience in a manufacturing or plastics environment preferred. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a unique growth opportunity for employees to develop skills across various areas of the facility. The facility is spacious and temperature-controlled with some noise from certain machines. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and ear protection is required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, Delaware. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
