Job Title: Mixer Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Mixer Operator, where you will be an integral part of the compounding process, ensuring the precise mixing and preparation of materials. Your role will involve operating various equipment, interpreting batch schedules, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

ResponsibilitiesMix and stage materials for compounding.Interpret batch schedule to correctly label production packaging.Operate sit-down, stand-up forklifts, and electric hand trucks to move materials and finished products.Utilize mobile and floor scales to accurately weigh compound ingredients, raw materials, and finished products according to batch records.Load, maintain, monitor, and clean blenders and mixers, as well as production weigh areas.Perform cleaning tasks, including running cleaning cycles, removing excess materials, replacing filters, and cleaning blades and tanks between batches.Operate packaging equipment and palletizing systems.Pull and transfer samples to the lab for quality testing.Ensure all small ingredients are weighed and labeled correctly.Utilize the proper tools for the job.Collect data on production areas.Essential SkillsProficiency in operating forklifts and batch mixers.Knowledge of HMI and computer skills for batch sheet logs.Attention to detail and accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsIdeally 3-5 years of experience in compounding or batching in a manufacturing environment Experience in extrusion or injection operations or operating ribbon blending machinery.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The company provides individual fans and portable air blowers for comfort. The dress code requires the removal of all jewelry, tying up long hair, wearing steel-toed shoes, long pants, and short sleeves. Hearing and eye protection are mandatory, and some areas require N95 face masks during specific tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
