Job Title: Mixer and Blender

Job Description

This role involves setting up, monitoring, and changing over food processing equipment to produce pizzas. Candidates will primarily operate mixing machines, filling machines, and baggers within the bakery department. The position requires working in teams of 3-4, with responsibilities that include operating mixers, fillers, and grinding machines.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a grinding machine to process cauliflower into fine material for mixing.Manage bagger operations by adjusting speed, temperature, smart scale weights, and vibration.Read and interpret batch tickets to create dough, weighing ingredients accurately.Operate a tumbler 2-3 days a week for mixing materials with starches, flour, and eggs.Monitor and set up equipment on the production line, including mixers, fillers, ovens, presses, baggers, and cartoners.Perform sanitation duties on all machinery.Conduct visual and quality inspections.Execute preventative and corrective maintenance using hand and power tools.Lift up to 50 lbs as required.Monitor temperatures, speed, and durations, and perform adjustments as necessary.Essential SkillsExperience working within a food GMP environment.Machine operating experience, including making adjustments and clearing jams.Proficiency with baggers, wrappers, films, cartoners, mixers, and fillers.GMP experience is necessary.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual capabilities are a plus.Experience as a lead machine operator or supervisor is beneficial.Strong troubleshooting skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is divided into a colder toppings department and a warmer bakery side. The facility is clean and organized, with a pleasant pizza aroma. Production areas maintain ambient temperatures between 40°F and 45°F. Candidates will work Monday to Saturday, with mandatory Saturdays if scheduled. Safety shoes are required from day one, and all candidates must wear smocks, hair nets, beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, safety glasses, and non-slick shoes. Jewelry is not permitted.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
