This key role contributes to the achievement of gold production targets in the open pit. It involves driving heavy machinery & earth moving equipment within the open pit, working as part of an effective shift crew. The role offers the opportunity to develop a career in mining & the flexibility and lifestyle of a 50/50 roster, alternating between day and night shift (12-hour shifts).
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Operate large mining vehicles within the Open Pit operationPre-start and shut down checks on all equipment to ensure high safety standardsLoad and transport rock to the processing plantWorking as a member of a crew, contributing to the teamCommunicating with a wide variety of mine workers and contractorsHousekeeping of vehicles and loading areaQualificationsA full, clean, current driver’s license and be confident driving a manual vehicleHave the ability to communicate well within a team environmentHave a high interest in heavy machineryBe a safety conscious individual, committed to maintaining an excellent safety recordPass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.Additional InformationWHAT'S ON OFFER:
