Job Title: Maintenance Millwright
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced maintenance millwright. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as manual or laser alignment skills.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery related to the unloading, loading, transfer, and storage of cargo including conveying equipment, pulleys, gearboxes, drag conveyors, structures, hydraulics, ship loader, stacker reclaimer, and various support equipment.Read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, build prints, and follow engineering drawings.Utilize precision measuring devices both metric and standard including gauges, displays, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, alignment tools, levels, and torque tools.Communicate thoughts and ideas effectively in both verbal and written forms.Demonstrate mechanical aptitude in structures, leverage, metallurgy, fasteners, rotating assemblies, gears, and material strength.Operate hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, chain hoists, presses, metal saws, cranes, and rigging equipment.Utilize heavy equipment including Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, and Manitowoc.Respond to call-outs and work all shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.Essential Skills
Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic principles and applications.Understanding and application of lubricants and maintenance best practices.Ability to perform machinery alignments both manual and laser.Proficiency in reading and comprehending technical literature and engineering drawings.Strong mechanical aptitude related to structures, metallurgy, and material strength.Skill in using hand tools, air tools, and precision measuring instruments.Work Environment
The position involves working in an indoor/outdoor pulley-conveyor environment within a shipping and logistics coal terminal. The role requires the use of various tools and heavy equipment, and a flexible schedule, including the ability to work different shifts and respond to call-outs.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $67600.00 - $85350.00/yr.
Will consider paying per diem while someone is in the process of relocating. \nPrefers local candidates but needs skilled labor with experience so can be creative on a few hires out of the bunch.
