Job Description

Assist in the preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, and contribute to the growth of our preventative maintenance program. Perform mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics, interpret drawings, and machine parts from sketches, samples, or plans. Install, move, and modify equipment as required while maintaining compliance with regulatory codes and ensuring a safe work environment. Continually upgrade skills and document all work carried out through our CMMS system.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.Grow and enhance the preventative maintenance program.Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics.Interpret drawings and machine parts from sketches, samples, or plans.Install, move, and modify equipment as needed.Follow maintenance procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and safety.Upgrade skills continually and document work via CMMS.

Essential Skills

5 years of experience as a millwright.Red Seal ticket or close to obtaining one.Manufacturing experience.In-depth familiarity with mechanics and machine shop practices.Basic welding skills (ARC, TIG, MIG) and electrical Back ground..Strong technical aptitude.Familiarity with PLCs, including Siemens S5 & S7.Proven ability to use Microsoft Office and CMMS software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.Experience with Lean manufacturing and 5S standards is an asset.Red Seal ticketed Millwright, Tool and Die maker, Machine Tool Builder, or Industrial Mechanic.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.50/hr.
