Join a dynamic maintenance team in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to manufacturing industrial-sized rims for mining trucks. As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of various machines, including welders, paint machines, CNC machines, and grinders. Your expertise in troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance will be essential in maintaining the equipment at our Langley facility.
ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various machines.Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLCs.Fabricate and weld as needed.Conduct basic electrical work, with complex tasks handled by a ticketed electrician.Use Limble maintenance software on an iPad to manage daily tasks and schedules.Attend and participate in the shop floor morning QDIP meetings focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.Execute emergency and urgent repairs as they arise.Essential Skills3rd/4th year apprentice, though 2nd year candidates will be considered if highly qualified.Proficient in common hydraulic knowledge, including replacing valves and troubleshooting.Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and installation.Experience with preventive maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsFirst aid tickets and forklift/OHC experience are advantageous.Basic electrical experience is a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to lead, motivate others, and think outside the box.Positive attitude and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Why Work Here?This large organization offers significant growth opportunities with a strong focus on promoting from within. Work EnvironmentWork within a close-knit maintenance team of five individuals, including both ticketed and unticketed electricians and millwrights. The team operates in a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Most work will be conducted indoors with occasional travel to other sites. The position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional afternoon shifts and overtime required as needed.
