**Job Title: Millwright**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Millwright for a full-time opportunity in Augusta, GA. This role involves the installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of complex mechanical systems in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with turbines, pumps, gearboxes, and paper mill equipment, and be comfortable using precision measurement tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and align rotating and stationary equipment with high precision.
+ Perform laser and optical alignments on motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
+ Rebuild and overhaul turbines, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
+ Conduct in-place machining, base repairs, and equipment inspections.
+ Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and laser alignment systems.
+ Support planned outages, emergency repairs, and turnaround projects.
+ Follow all safety protocols, including PowerSafe and TAPPISAFE standards.
+ Perform inspections on couplings and make necessary recommendations for coupling repairs.
+ Create repair reports for couplings and line shafts using Microsoft Excel.
+ Take photos of each repair phase from initial to re-assembly.
+ Interpret coupling components and repair issues.
+ Repair and install gearboxes, pumps, refiners, bearings, and conveyors.
+ Conduct welding and rigging tasks as needed.
+ Measure diameters using micrometers and dial calipers.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of bench clearance bearings.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of experience in industrial environments.
+ Experience in power plants, pulp and paper mills, and refineries.
+ Journeyman level certification is a plus.
+ Proficiency in precision measurement and alignment tools.
+ Experience with turbines, pumps, and heavy rotating equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ TWIC card is a plus.
+ Safety certifications such as MICCS, PowerSafe, and TAPPISAFE are advantageous.
+ Experience with laser alignment and working with tight tolerances.
+ Welding (Stick/Mig) and rigging skills.

**Work Environment**
Candidates will work in industrial environments including pulp and paper mills, chemical refineries, and power plants. Safety is a top priority, and previous experience in similar facilities is essential.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond Hill, Georgia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
