Job Title: Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Swing Shift CNC Mill Set-up Technician to join our team from 3 pm to 11:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC Mill Machining, ranging from an intermediate to a journeyman level. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined metallic and non-metallic parts.

Responsibilities

Perform short run, precision CNC machining and handle 1st runs.Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, including loading and downloading CNC programs.Select, align, and secure work holding fixtures and tools on machines.Verify accuracy of machine settings through initial/trial runs.Collaborate with programming and manufacturing teams to provide feedback on cycle time reduction and machine optimization.Provide guidance and instruction to other machine operators and machinists.Submit 1st Piece Article to the Inspection Department for verification.Maintain and document machine coolants, lubricants, and perform maintenance tasks as required.Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures, providing support to manufacturing tasks.

Essential Skills

Intermediate to journeyman level CNC Mill Machining experience.Ability to operate vertical and horizontal milling machines.Experience with short run, precision CNC machining.Familiarity with CAD, CAM software for CNC programming.Knowledge of G&M codes, blueprint reading, and machining processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with 5-axis CNC Mill is a plus.Knowledge of Mastercam and Renishaw probe systems.Experience working with Mazak CNC’s is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
