Job Title: Mill Machinist
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Set-up Technician for the swing shift (Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM). The ideal candidate will have intermediate to journeyman level CNC mill machining experience, capable of handling both vertical and horizontal setups from start to finish. The position requires a process-oriented individual who can adapt to established processes and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines.

ResponsibilitiesPerform short run, precision CNC machining and manage first runs.Set-up and operate CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined parts from metallic and non-metallic materials.Utilize vertical milling, horizontal milling, turning centers, turn/mill centers, and multi-axis machines.Specialize in setting up mill turn sub spindle live tooling lathes with minimal supervision.Collaborate with programming and manufacturing managers to optimize cycle time and machine performance while ensuring quality output.Guide and instruct other machine operators and machinists as needed.Provide input to programmers and other technical personnel.May program CNC machines using CAD and CAM software.Ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and product quality that meets customer specifications.Essential SkillsIntermediate or journeyman level CNC mill machining experience.Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, models, blueprints, and specifications.Proficient in CNC machine setup and operation.Familiarity with G&M codes, Mazak, and Fanuc systems.Ability to verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with 5-axis CNC mills is preferred.Knowledge of Mastercam and Renishaw probe systems.Experience with Mazak CNCs is a plus but not required.Willingness to consider candidates with 4-axis experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean machining facility equipped with 10+ CNC machines and expanding. A new clean room and QC area are under construction. Collaborative day shift with 5 programmers/machinists encourages teamwork and growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
