**Mill Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team on the night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, editing, and operating 3-axis and/or 4-axis CNC Mills in accordance with blueprints and engineering drawings, while maintaining tolerances of +/- .003. This role involves adjusting wear compensation, offsets, feed and speed, and editing G-code and M-code coordinates. The machinist will conduct first particle inspection using precision measuring instruments such as ID micrometers, OD micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges. This position is based in an R&D shop environment that supports production by building proprietary machinery and equipment, machining a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and occasionally exotic materials. **Responsibilities** + Set up, edit, and operate CNC Mills (3-axis and 4-axis) based on blueprints and engineering drawings. + Maintain machining tolerances of +/- .003. + Adjust wear compensation, offsets, feed, and speed, and edit G-code and M-code. + Conduct first particle inspection using precision measuring instruments. + Machine a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic materials. **Essential Skills** + 4+ years of CNC Mill experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings. + Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges. + Experience in setting up CNC machines and performing edits at the controller. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with drill press, grinding, lathe, and machine operation. **Why Work Here?** We provide all necessary tools and offer a reimbursement for boots up to $120 per year. The role involves night shifts from 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend hours as needed. Initial training will occur on the day shift for the first six months. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
