**Job Title: MIG Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team for the first shift. The role involves MIG welding on mild steel ranging from 12 gauge to 1 inch, in various positions such as flat, vertical down, and overhead. The successful candidate will need to set up their welder and job, as well as measure, cut, bend, and build frames using hand and power tools, tape measures, and other measuring tools. Grinding and polishing welds are also required, utilizing Miller welders. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding on mild steel in flat, vertical down, and overhead positions. + Set up welding equipment and job materials independently. + Measure, cut, bend, and fabricate frames using hand and power tools. + Use tape measures and other measuring tools for precise fabrication. + Grind and polish welds to ensure quality. + Utilize Miller welders effectively in daily tasks. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of experience in MIG welding on mild steel. + Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment. + Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately. + Experience with Flux core and structural steel fitting and assembly. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 3 years of experience in reading blueprints and using a tape measure. + Understanding of fabrication processes and techniques. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company located in the Iron Works district, with exciting opportunities in the booming data center industry. Their other facility is Brand new facility with tons of space, great lighting, new machinery and high ceilings. They plan to move everything to the new building sometime over the summer of 2025 80 person shop with a lot of growth discussions to get over 100 employees Welding Manager started as a welder and they moved him into a leadership role.
