Job Description

Join our team as a MIG Welder with entry-level opportunities at a leading automotive facility. This role primarily involves repair welding on carbon steel products, complementing the robotic welding operations which constitute 95% of the facility’s production. With a focus on production efficiency, this position offers growth potential within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Perform repair welds on thin carbon steel using wire-fed equipment.Collaborate with a team in a high-pressure, production-based welding environment.Adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

Essential Skills

Experience in MIG welding is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Blueprint reading is advantageous.Experience in fabrication is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a just-in-time facility with a high-pressure production environment. The facility employs 597 individuals across 3 shifts, although currently operating on 2 shifts from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, with most Sundays included. The welding department has openings on both A Shift (5:30 AM - 5:30 PM) and B Shift (5:30 PM - 5:30 AM), offering at least one day per week to leave early. The dress code includes provided shirts, with t-shirts, jeans (without rips or tears), and closed-toe shoes required. Flexibility to work weekends and up to 60 hours per week is neces

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
