Job Title: Mig Welder

Job Description

As a Mig Welder, you will perform welding on mild steel ranging from 12g to 1 inch in the flat, vertical down, and overhead positions. You will be responsible for setting up your welder and job, measuring, cutting, bending, and building frames. Experience with tank welding and pressure vessel welding is essential. You will also use hand and power tools, tape measures, and other measuring tools to grind and polish welds.

Responsibilities

Perform welding on mild steel in various positions.Set up welder and job assignments independently.Measure, cut, bend, and build frames.Utilize hand and power tools as well as measuring tools.Grind and polish welds to meet quality standards.

Essential Skills

5 years of MIG welding experience on mild and structural steel.Proficiency in fabrication, tape measurement, and blueprint reading.Experience with flux core welding and fitting assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

3 years of experience reading blueprints and using a tape measure.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

4-10 schedule - try to not work OT but currently working some OT \nGrowing company - they build parts for Data centers, which that industry is taking off\nIn the Iron works district - connected to a golf simulator and bar. Their other facility is Brand new facility with tons of space, great lighting, new machinery and high ceilings. They plan to move everything to the new building sometime over the summer of 2025\n80 person shop with a lot of growth discussions to get over 100 employees\nWelding Manager started as a welder and they moved him into a leadership role. A lot of growth opps at MTL\nLaid back environment \nExtremely competitive pay for the market\nDirect Hire\n$1 for 2nd shift\nAnnual raises: Don't do a lot of annual raises, they would bump people up throughout the year \nBenefits and insurances: $500 deductible for medical - company pays 65%, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k\nVacation: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2, can get an extra week per year based on attendance \nCompany outings: Christmas part offsite, full dinner, open bar, door prizes, lunches every 6 weeks.
