MIG Welder
**Job Title: Mig Welder** Job Description As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and welding various metal components using a variety of materials such as cast, steel, and stainless steel. You will apply multiple welding processes, including TIG, MIG, and stick welding, to meet customer specifications creatively. A key part of your role will be to record all necessary data for producing expected service and design results, including sizing and illustrations. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, as is collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Responsibilities + Assemble and weld various metal components. + Weld using a variety of materials: cast, steel, stainless steel, etc. + Apply different welding processes: TIG, MIG, and stick. + Meet customer specifications with creativity. + Record data necessary for service and design results, including sizing and illustrations. + Keep the work area clean and organized. + Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. + Interpret shop fabrication drawings. + Perform high-quality and consistent welds daily. + Read a tape measure proficiently. + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Essential Skills + 1+ years of experience in MIG welding. + Experience in Flux-core welding. + Ability to interpret shop fabrication drawings. + Proficiency in using a tape measure. + Experience in tank fabrication and welding. + Ability to produce high-quality and consistent welds. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing measurements and calculations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role. + Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment. + Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication work. + Experience with miscellaneous metal fabrication and pipe welding. + Capability in welding pipe diameters ranging from 2” to 60” with thickness varying from quarter wall to 1/2 inch. + Experience with dual shield and hard wire root welding. + Knowledge in stainless steel and carbon steel welding is a plus. Work Environment You will work in an open-air shop environment, which can be hot during the summer months. The workweek consists of 50-60 hours, with shifts running from 5am to 3pm and 3pm to Saturday. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots and a welding hood are required, and you will use tools like a square, two-hole pins, level, and tape measure. The worksite is located in Phoenix, AZ. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
