We are seeking an experienced welder to join our team. This full-time position is located on the 1st shift, from 6am to 2:30pm. Your primary role will involve the setup and operation of metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas to weld steel and aluminum. You will also be required to use standard hand tools, overhead cranes, and fork trucks for material handling and manipulation of product components. In addition, you will be responsible for reporting labor hours, identifying and discarding non-conforming materials, assisting other personnel, and conducting inventory cycle counts. You will be expected to wear appropriate safety and protective equipment and maintain a safe and clean work area.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment for steel and aluminum.Use standard hand tools, overhead cranes, and fork trucks for material handling.Report labor hours via electronic scanner.Identify and discard materials that fail to conform to company standards.Assist other personnel and conduct inventory cycle counts.Maintain a safe and clean work area, wearing appropriate safety and protective equipment.
Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in MIG welding.Ability to work with blueprints.Experience with tubing and high beams.Experience working with steel (bonus for experience with other metals).Use of overhead cranes and fork trucks for material handling.Ability to report labor hours via electronic scanner.Ability to identify and discard non-conforming materials.Experience in inventory cycle counting.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work quickly and accurately under minimal supervision.Adaptability to a constantly changing work environment.Ability to work and communicate as part of a team to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.Electrical wiring skills are a plus.Ability to visualize the end result prior to completion.American Welding Society (AWS) Certification is a plus, but not required.On-going certification to AWS Standard D1.1 is provided.

Work Environment
You will be working in a metal shop manufacturing company comprised of approximately 25 people. The work environment involves a large warehouse building with mostly individual work cells. Majority of the work cells are dedicated to welding and painting tasks. This is a fully on-site position located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The position requires standing for extended periods of time and periodic kneeling and back bending. Overhead cranes and fork trucks are required to lift any material exceeding 30 pounds, with work performed under some temperature variation due to annual seasonality.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
