Responsibilities
Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories. Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
Create, or support creation, and manage test designs (functional, subsystem, system, environmental, calibration, etc.), flows, plans, and procedures and criteria for delivery of company space and remote sensing programs (both external and IR&D). Many of the programs involve small satellites and space environment sensors. Environmental testing includes thermal, thermal vacuum, vibration, and EMI/C testing.Support program customer reviews and testing discussionsLead or support development testing, design maturation, fabrication, assembly and acceptance testing flows and processes for hardware Develop design solutions for work-site planning, equipment layouts, material handling, work-flow, human factorsLead or support non-conformance management during testing periodsDevelop, produce, and utilize Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to support production, assembly, testing and integration of hardwareDefine requirements and specifications for GSEDevelop and validate procedures, work instructions, and training materials to ensure GSE utilization meets expectations for safety, effectiveness, and efficiencyWork closely with vendors, manufacturing staff, procurement, and quality personnel to accelerate availability of resources required to fulfill testing requirementsSupport and help develop, produce, initiate, and maintain utilization of CAD library and design tool standards related to testing and GSESupport corporate Design Configuration Management processTasking as directed by Lab leadership.Qualifications
Required:
BS 2-4 years, MS 0-2 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearanceEducation: BS in engineering related degree (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering)Experience: 5+ years (each higher-level degree may substitute for experience)Experience with MS Suite software, CAD software, mechanical design drawings, Bill of Materials processes, and build and traceability documentation

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
