As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Global Breeding Automation Engineering Department supporting the Field Systems team. What's the Job?

Design, develop, test, and support innovative research control software systems for automated field equipment. Implement data acquisition, machine control, cloud connectivity, and user interaction features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set technical direction and organize project tasks. Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Troubleshoot and debug complex software and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance.

What's Needed?

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. 4+ years of experience owning the development of automated/control systems. Proficiency in software development with C#, C++, C, or Python. Experience developing multi-threaded/process applications and understanding network protocols such as TCP/UDP, MQTT. Strong troubleshooting, debugging skills, and familiarity with modern development practices including agile, TDD, and continuous delivery.
