Qualified candidates will be well-rounded, organized problem solvers with excellent communication skills and an interest in solving technical challenges. The Marquette, MI office of Schnabel Engineering, is seeking a full-time mid-level Project Engineer to join our growing engineering practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with an interest in working on our nation’s critical infrastructure, a desire to develop both field and analytical skills, and a desire to be part of a strong team of geologists and engineers. **Job Responsibilities:** + Assist in the growth of a sub-business unit in the field of mining design and construction to serve new and existing clients in our target market areas + Serve as a leader in support of our existing mining and civil teams + Strengthen the firm’s existing mining capabilities + Increase cross-selling opportunities across business units **Required Skills/Experience:** + Minimum 10 years of experience in mining, geotechnical or civil engineering design and construction + Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year + Underground MSHA Trained + Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground mining **Desired Skills/Experience:** + Managerial/mentoring experience + Experience with project management software (such as Deltek VantagePoint) + Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint software + Experience with Deswik and Leapfrog **Other Requirements:** + Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check + Ability to pass a pre-employment screening The compensation range for this position is between $73,000 to $110,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
