A leading Northeast litigation law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its New Jersey civil litigation team. This position is ideal for litigators with solid civil litigation experience who are looking for increased responsibility, hands-on courtroom exposure, and long-term professional development across a diverse range of practice areas, including general liability, construction litigation, employment and labor, and workers’ compensation.
ResponsibilitiesManage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
Appear at and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials in New Jersey state and federal courts.
Conduct legal research and assist in developing litigation strategies.
Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions.
Collaborate closely with partners, senior attorneys, clients, and experts.
Provide regular updates and strategic guidance to clients regarding case status and developments.
Ensure compliance with deadlines and maintain high standards of legal advocacy.
QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing.
4–7 years of civil litigation experience.
Experience practicing in New Jersey state and federal courts.
Strong advocacy skills, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Proficiency in legal research, discovery, and deposition practice.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
