The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3) to join our dynamic team at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and production of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, which is designed to transport crew to the International Space Station and beyond. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and tooling requirements
Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for the Starliner program
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Support root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues
Task lead critical operations on the manufacturing shop floor
Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and assembly
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and assembly of components
Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, or Supplier Quality
Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes and standards
Experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
Experience using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience showcasing effective communication, organizational and team oriented skills
Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends as mission requires it
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with spacecraft electrical harness fabrication and installations
Experience with Model Based Instruction (MBI) production planning
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principle
Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools
