We are seeking a detail-oriented Microbiology Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will perform basic laboratory preparation work and contribute to a variety of microbiological tests. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a state-of-the-art Innovation Center.
ResponsibilitiesPerform basic laboratory preparation work including making solutions of peptone and buffers for swabs.Engage in plating and streaking techniques.Pick up supplies and samples from the plant as needed.Conduct various tests, such as pipetting, preparing agar with hot plates, autoclaving, sterilization, sanitation, and conducting plate counts for yeast, mold, and lactic bacteria.Enter data accurately into Excel.Essential SkillsProficiency in microbiology, laboratory techniques, and biology.Understanding of aseptic techniques and plating and streaking techniques.Experience in a laboratory setting with skills in pH and viscosity measurement.Strong micro skills from schooling or industry experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBA/BS in Microbiology, Biology, or related science field OR AS/Unrelated BS with working experience in a lab.Work EnvironmentThe role will be based in a micro lab, which is a small facility with limited desk spaces. You will work in a team of 4-5 members, assisting them with various tasks. The dress code is business casual, and the position operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday. The role is a short-term contract with limited potential for extension.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
