Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Lab Technician specializing in microbiological analyses of food products. In this role, you will coordinate and execute daily microbial testing, ensuring accuracy and timely results for samples from various sources. Your attention to detail, organizational prowess, and adaptability are crucial in managing the workload effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide support and flexibility related to the analysis of samples.Ensure timely delivery of microbiological analyses.Document results and review data meticulously.Investigate technical discrepancies promptly.Develop a strong knowledge of analytical methods used.Maintain world-class lab safety environment complying with all safety rules.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in microbiology, food science, biology, or related field.1-3 years of experience in food microbiology.Basic lab skills including aseptic technique, pipetting, and serial dilutions.Confidence in troubleshooting and issue resolution.Attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong technical and hands-on experience with lab operations preferred.Strong interpersonal skills for productive discourse.Leadership experience with good decision-making capabilities.Experience in an ISO accredited microbiology lab.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency with Word, Excel, and LIMS.Good oral and written communication skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
