PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Support enterprise level process improvement and standardization across the revenue cycle organization. The Senior Specialist will collaborate across the Revenue Cycle Organization, corporate, legal, compliance, and the revenue centers to identify and document best in class processes, implement processes through trainings and communication, and ensure they are being followed through the development and roll out of policies & procedures. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for supporting Revenue Cycle Transformation Program by participating and driving process improvement/re-design initiatives including system implementation and re-engineering. The position will be responsible for providing support and driving solution through development of process flow, analytics and communication material.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Revenue Center employees, and Revenue Cycle Transformation Program to document end-to-end processes into fully functional procedures to be used across the revenue cycle Provide assistance and review the work of junior level specialists with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.Works closely with the Revenue Cycle Program team leaders to support process re-design through analytics, research, and presentation development Collaborates with legal, compliance, corporate and Revenue Cycle Program to identify improvements or changes to be adopted across revenue cycle Facilitates review of draft policy and procedures, and solicits feedback from divisional leadership, internal controls, legal and other applicable parties on all new policies and procedures. Assists in the development of roll out/ implementation plans, including training materials so that new processes/procedures are clearly understood by the Revenue Centers. Acts as a liaison between Revenue Centers and Corporate functions, so that all parties' questions and concerns are understood and addressed. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure procedures are adhered to; identify training opportunities within the revenue centers. Ensure all documents are posted to Revenue Cycle Connect (Confluence), reviewed and updated timely. Assist with other Revenue Cycle Program projects or assignments as requested or needed. System enhancements initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations. Bachelor's Degree requiredEXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
5+ year's healthcare revenue cycle experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to drive results.Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of revenue cycle, finance and accounting. Strong working knowledge of Windows-based software applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint). Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.Good interpersonal skills and team oriented. Well organized and detail oriented. Positive attitude, enthusiastic and energetic.
