We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Lead to support and lead a team in areas such as electro-mechanical assembly, test, material handling, pack, and ship. The Production Lead is a hands-on process leader responsible for coordinating daily production activities, troubleshooting process issues, and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility. Key job responsibilities • Lead a team of technicians and associates to execute daily manufacturing operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety guidelines. • Act as the primary point of contact for real-time process issues; troubleshoot and escalate when necessary. • Plan, assign, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals and schedule adherence, ensuring effective shift handoffs and end-of-shift reporting. • Provide direct coaching and training to team members, contributing to onboarding and ongoing skills development. Develop and implement training plans within your department. • Maintain and update training documents and visual work instructions; validate SOP effectiveness and drive updates when deviations are identified. • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives (e.g., 6S, safety, Kaizen), using data collection and root cause analysis to drive results. • Review team output for quality and adherence to production specifications; ensure metrics are met across individual and team performance. • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and ensure alignment with cross-functional teams to support shift readiness and performance. • Foster a culture of safety by modeling best practices, escalating hazards, and ensuring compliance with site safety protocols. • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing team. Preferred Qualifications • Associates degree or technical certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field. • Experience in Lean manufacturing, 6S, or Kaizen practices. • Experience facilitating training and contributing to the development of new team members. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead meetings and coordinate across multiple teams. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
