Metrology and Calibration Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the Life Science Manufacturing industry, is seeking a Metrology and Calibration Technician to join their team. As a Metrology Technician, you will be part of the Calibration and Instrumentation Support team supporting manufacturing and quality assurance departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Metrology and Calibration Technician
**Location:** Holly Springs, North Carolina
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform Troubleshooting, calibrations, PMs to all manufacturing and laboratory equipment and systems
+ Perform electronic maintenance of pressure, temperature, flow, weight, pH, DO, and other critical process parameter measuring devices on a wide variety of process and utility equipment
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic control circuits
+ Document all performed work on work orders, calibration data sheets, and other forms, as required
+ Follow standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and cGMP quality standards
+ Perform loop checks for new instrumentation
+ Perform LOTO
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, calibration, or a related field specifically in a cGMP regulated environment (preference for Pharma/Biotech industry)
+ Intermediate knowledge of I&C/Metrology principles and PLC systems for process control troubleshooting
+ Working knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, Ph, conductivity instruments
+ Working knowledge of water systems, boilers, chillers, and bioreactors
+ Experience with GMP requirements and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as ProCalV5, Maximo, or Infor EAM
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
