**Job Title: Metal Blender/Sander** Job Description The Metal Blender/Sander is responsible for smoothing, polishing, and sanding metal components using hand-held sanding equipment. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards. Responsibilities + De-burr metal components to meet quality specifications. + Perform self-inspections to ensure conformance to quality standards. + Examine workpieces for defects and report any findings to the team leader. + Occasionally perform minor equipment maintenance. Essential Skills + High school or GED diploma. + Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Experience with power tools. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. + Positive attitude. + Self-motivation. + Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and associated noise levels. The role primarily involves standing for up to 6 hours per day, with occasional sitting required for short periods. The ability to lift 0-50lbs in a proper ergonomic position is necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
