The role encompasses participating in developing and maintaining the worldwide support efforts for our Shop Floor facing suite of products while ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Another key responsibility involves collaborating with our business partners on new automation initiatives, guiding sites to leverage Enterprise standardized shop floor hardware and devices. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager - Ops Vision/MES Support, this position offers opportunities for strategic input and visibility within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to navigate complex global operations, positioning them to shape the future of Wabtec's IT manufacturing technology landscape and contribute meaningfully to the company's continued growth and success. **How will you make a difference?** As a member of our TEAM, Wabtec is looking for an individual to lead a best-in-class manufacturing software support that leverages the power of globally dispersed resources to provide follow-the-sun support for our entire suite of manufacturing software. **What do we want to know about you?** You must have: 3 -5 years minimum industry experience in Information Technology and/or supporting shop floor systems and their related data with a strong preference given to first-hand experience with Wabtec’s OpsVision products and other integrated pillar applications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or related experience required Stated willingness to work non-standard hours/workdays on occasion and as needed to support major implementations and break/fix scenarios that are impacting operations Stated willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support major implementations. Expected annual travel is <20% but may fluctuate based on cyclical business needs **We would love it if you had:** Successful international project involvement demonstrated over time within the manufacturing software space Deep passion for operational support as well as working knowledge of pertinent KPI’s and best practice Experience working with a globally distributed team Change agent mentality – Proactively learns new processes, identifies opportunities for improvement while promoting their adoption Excellent team player – inclusive and collaborative approach to solve problems and create value for stakeholders. Highly self-motivated Experience establishing and growing new role in Asia Pacific that will be a key piece of a Follow the Sun support approach **What will your typical day look like?** Participate in KT sessions with current experts in the US & Europe to develop a Best in Class support model. Receive task hand off for critical issues in the US or Europe, and hand off same to other regions as necessary. Work with globally dispersed exempt employees and contingent sponsorships management. Proactively Identify resource needs and preferred geographic location to achieve goals Establish a high performing support environment and culture Drive rigor within processes. This will include creating required documentation. Ensure team schedules and facilitates stakeholder reviews and uses analytics to evaluate effectiveness. Engage SME representation to achieve a successful rollout and adoption. Leverage and follow standardized processes and policies Facilitate the collaboration with product owners Engage and maintain relationships with critical stakeholders in Asia Pacific to ensure common business goals are achieved Other duties as assigned or required for success **What about the physical demands of the job?** Regularly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Regularly communicating with others to exchange information Regularly required to attend meetings in person and virtually using video and audio computer equipment Regularly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as typing Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Occasionally light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds Work Environment: Employee will be expected to follow hybrid work schedule The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. Role is shopfloor facing and during visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
