JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIESEach day, when we show up to work at POET Bioproducts it’s our job to market and transport, as efficiently as possible, about 20,000 tons of our high quality feed products from our bio-processing facilities to our valued customers who happen to be located all over the globe. We use trucks, trains, barges and ocean vessels to make this happen and as a Merchandising Coordinator it will be your role to ensure our products get to where they need to get to when our customers need it. This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD. Responsibilities include:
Work with trucking companies to schedule shipments.
Disseminate transportation instructions to our freight partners.
Interface with POET bio-refinery personnel to ensure superior customer service.
Accurately enter transactional data into our ERP system.
Reconcile product shipment data with accounting as necessary.
Provide contract management support to merchandisers.
Coordinate barge shipments.
Respond to customer requests for information and resolve any service issues.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSYou have a Bachelor’s degree or similar real-world experience.

You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You’re capable of learning new programs.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in an office environment, working at a personal computer where you may sit or stand. Most of our Sioux Falls office workspace consists of an open-concept design intended to promote open communication and collaboration.
