Mep Superintendent
**Job Title: MEP Superintendent** **Job Description** We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to lead and manage facility management processes and solutions for mission-critical projects, including government facilities and hospitals. This permanent role is based in San Diego County and focuses on driving the start-up and commissioning process. **Responsibilities** + Interface, coordinate, and directly manage MEPF trade partners through plan development, inspections, and the Cx testing process. + Utilize standard MEPF/building controls testing procedures and applicable tools and equipment. + Manage a team to deliver Operational Project Readiness (OPR) and lead Commissioning Management (CxM) services on multiple projects. + Review contract documents for program/project understanding, constructability, operability, and functionality. + Develop project-specific commissioning and execution plans as per templates and Contract Documents. + Maintain Cx schedule based on CPM milestones using required scheduling programs. + Establish testing/certification requirements for equipment documentation management through Cx software platform. + Review Level 2 and 3 Cx Scripts. + Oversee implementation of Cx progress visual tracking/status tools. + Lead project Cx team meetings, communicate Cx schedule, sequencing, constraints, and issues. + Document MEPF equipment inspections and testing, track and resolve issues supporting start-up and commissioning. + Manage document control of Cx progress via commissioning software. + Coordinate and manage Level 4/5 Cx testing. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Cloud. + Minimum 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction with an MEPF/building controls contractor, general contractor, or Cx agency. + Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Facilities Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, Engineering, or MEP. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to communicate complex issues effectively in written and oral formats. + Function well as part of a high-performance team. + Strong knowledge of facilities operations and building systems. + Ability to work collaboratively in a mobile work environment. + Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint). + Strong project management skills. + Ability to recognize, troubleshoot, document, and optimize facilities processes. + Effective written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to read and interpret financial data relating to facilities. + Understanding of critical facility environments, including hospitals, airports, and data centers. + Experience with P6 and/or MS Project. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + General Contractor experience. + Experience in start-up and commissioning. + Construction management and quality control expertise. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where your skills and expertise will be valued in a supportive environment.
