The Project Manager will lead MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) planning efforts, ensuring coordination among architects, engineers, and general contractors. This role involves developing detailed project schedules, coordinating BIM efforts, and ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and industry standards.
ResponsibilitiesLead design review, constructability analysis, and coordination efforts for MEP planning.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for all MEP trades.Coordinate BIM efforts, clash detection, and field installation sequencing.Ensure all MEP work aligns with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.Oversee daily field activities for MEP subcontractors, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality.Conduct regular site walks to verify installation progress and compliance.Resolve field issues quickly through collaboration with subcontractors and design teams.Enforce safety protocols and participate in site safety meetings.Manage budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement for MEP scopes.Track progress against schedule and budget, providing regular updates to leadership.Review and approve subcontractor invoices and progress billings.Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).7+ years of experience managing MEP scopes on commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, fire protection, and controls.Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Experience with BIM coordination and construction scheduling software.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.OSHA 30 certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsSST certificationPMP certificationWork EnvironmentThe work environment involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, often on-site.
