MEP Construction Project Manager

Our client, a leading organization in the data center and construction industry, is seeking a Construction Project Manager 5 to join their team. As a Construction Project Manager 5, you will be part of the Northern Virginia project support team, assisting in managing leased data center projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Ashburn, VA (Onsite, hybrid work arrangement with 4 days onsite per week)

What's the Job?

Track project milestones, RFS dates, and early access requirements to ensure timely project delivery. Visit project sites weekly to assess progress and compare it against the project schedule. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and update dashboards for accurate progress reporting. Monitor task completion, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies. Coordinate with internal teams and external lease providers under the guidance of the Lease Construction Manager.

What's Needed?

8-12 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in data center or similar infrastructure projects. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical systems, and structured cabling basics. Strong organizational and communication skills in multi-stakeholder environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn Power BI and automation tools. Educational background in engineering or construction is preferred.
