**About the role**
As a CBRE Events Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of the team responsible for planning, coordination, and day-of execution of meetings, conferences, and events.
This job is part of the Events job function. They are responsible for the creation, management, and execution of marketing events for internal and external clients.
This role will be physically supporting day to day of meetings & events including the lifting and carrying to setup and break down events. This role will be on your feet throughout the day and requires someone flexible to come in earlier or stay later as needed. Hours are mostly during the weekdays but there might be some occasional weekend work as needed.
**What you’ll do**
Provide indirect supervision and mentorship to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff deadlines.
Act as the primary on-site event operations leader. Oversee operations of events from start to finish according to client requests for seamless delivery. Provide event support as needed.
Support team as needed. Coordinate with partners. outside vendors and event professionals.
Responsible for onsite planning and working in unison with vendors.
Ensure event operations are aligned with location safety, security, and other requirements.
Identify improvements for event success. Review and suggest improvements in processes, procedures, and systems to improve team efficiency. Generate reports to measure efficiency and perform evaluations.
Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
May establish new techniques to ensure the team can meet its objectives.
Have a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.
**What you’ll need**
High School Diploma or equivalent experience or GED or equivalent experience with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
Prior banquet captain experience preferred.
Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mentality.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Workplace Experience Receptionist position is $21.63 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $26 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
