This role is part of the Workplace Experience function, focusing on providing world-class customer service to clients and visitors of a designated building. **What You’ll Do** **Team Leadership:** Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruitment and hiring of new staff. Coordinate and manage daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train team members. Mentor and coach as needed. **Client Engagement:** Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding meeting and event forecasts and strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and escalated complaints effectively. **Event Management:** Act as the primary on-site operations leader for events, overseeing all aspects from planning through execution. Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, vendor management, and compliance with safety and security requirements. **Guest Experience:** Provide exceptional guest experiences by understanding and anticipating customer needs. Ensure all spaces are reset to the status quo post-events. **Process Improvement:** Implement enhancements for event success by making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Review productivity reports and present findings to management. **Leadership and Values:** Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence stakeholders to reach shared agreements and build consensus. **Problem Solving:** Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues, ensuring the team can meet its objectives effectively. **Budget Management:** Maintain department budgets and approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team. **Compliance and Tracking:** Ensure operations and vendors are compliant with location requirements. Track department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks, monitoring related performance data and identifying solutions for any gaps. **Reporting and Analysis:** Run reports and produce documentation related to workplace services operations. Conduct post-event evaluations and present findings to management for continuous improvement. **Safety and Compliance:** Provide Fire Warden and First Aid cover as needed, report hazards, and ensure all operations comply with safety and security requirements. **What You’ll Need** **Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future** **Education:** Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. **Experience:** Proven experience in event management and team leadership is essential. Knowledge in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, appraisal, and retention is preferred. **Skills:** ● **Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.** ● **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.** ● **Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.** ● **Familiarity with budget management and reporting.** ● **Ability to calculate and interpret financial-related figures for reporting.** **Qualifications:** ● Proven experience in event management and team leadership. ● Proficiency in using event management software (EMS, Jira, Slack, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Outlook) and similar tools is a plus. ● CMP Certification (Required) ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively. ● Familiarity with budget management and reporting. ● _Ability to learn health, safety, and building management requirements._ **Working Conditions:** This position will require flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules. The Meeting and Events Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. **CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Meeting & Events Manager position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Meeting & Events Manager position is $120,000 annually. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
