*This position will work on-site at our Southern Cities Clinic-Faribault, MN facility*
*This position is a Temporary part-time – 20 hours a week Monday-Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, day shift*
*Available for a 6month – 1 year assignment only*
Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Southern Cities Clinic – Faribault team to help with a project to assist in the implementation of the new progress Med Note functionality; to assist with the data entry of patients. Being able to understand complex information between programs and data across the electronic health record system and paper charts. Making independent determinations of what information would be crucial for the provider to utilize and completing the responsibilities below with little to no guidance.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Review progress notes, psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, labs, medications, etc. and use their clinical knowledge to transcribe the latest/most accurate data onto the new notes.
+ Review upcoming clinical schedule within avatar or pulling an upcoming appointment report to identify patients who will be seen.
+ Effectively troubleshoot and analyze uncertain information or knowledge.
**Minimum Qualifications**
One year of experience supporting and reviewing medical data.
+ Clinical knowledge or medical terminology experience.
+ Understanding of healthcare, policy and procedures.
+ Experience working with an electronic health record system.
+ Computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience using the Netsmart Avatar software program.
+ Experience in medical coding and billing.
+ Communication: outstanding oral and written communication to provide information, instructions and directives.
+ Following data privacy/confidentiality guidelines such as state statutes and regulations regarding data privacy, security, and HIPAA.
