Job Title: Medical Office AssistantJob Description

Join our team as a Medical Office Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care. You will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and rooming patients.

ResponsibilitiesPerform specific duties that support patient care.Take and record patient vitals.Conduct client intake and room patients.Document patient information accurately.Assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties.Address patient messages and medication refills.Handle same-day requests efficiently.Perform administrative and clinical duties in an outpatient setting.Answer phones and schedule appointments.Essential SkillsCustomer service expertise.Proficient data entry skills.Ability to manage patient information.Certification with AAMA or ARMA.Knowledge of clerical tasks, insurance processes, and electronic medical records.Additional Skills & QualificationsCMA/RMA certification is helpful.Medical Assistant Diploma required.Experience with EPIC is preferred.Work Environment

Work in a dynamic dermatology office environment, providing care to a patient volume of 15-20 individuals per day. The schedule requires flexibility, with hours between 7:45 AM and 5:00 PM. This is a temp-to-hire position where you will be assigned to support one doctor. The role requires basic soft skills and a strong personality trait.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
