**Our Team:** _Medical Excellence Head, Greater China is leading the development and execution of Greater China medical strategy and plan, align with Global medical strategy and Great China strategy, under the oversight of the Greater China Pharma Medical Head._ _To that effect, Medical Excellence Head, Greater China, in collaboration with the Global and Greater China medical teams will contribute to lead the strategic directions and operational implementation of the Medical plans within Greater China, driving operational and budget planning, overseeing resource allocation to ensure appropriate prioritization of medical projects and studies in achieving Brand/Therapeutic area goals._ _Medical Excellence Head, Greater China_ _is responsible for contributing to the right implementation of the strategic planning and the execution of the medical plans, mainly focus on clinical studies, medical project management, field medical excellence, medical capability building, medical compliance, and medical innovative initiatives, to ensure launch excellence and seamless execution with appropriate allocation of resources and continuous risk assessment._ _In the context of evolving environment and medical transformation, this role is expected to identify innovative solutions and act with an agile mindset, with strong result orientation and openness to anticipate changes._ _Medical Excellence Head, Greater China acts within a complex global, multicultural and matrix organization as a point of contact between different function interfaces. To be successful in this role, strong leadership, collaborative approach, and stakeholder engagement abilities are also required._ **Main responsibilities:** • Architect and champion the comprehensive Greater China Medical strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with Global medical imperatives while driving distinctive regional value creation and competitive advantage • Establish and govern the strategic framework for study operations and clinical research initiatives, enabling generation of high-impact local evidence that advances medical plans and scientific leadership • Orchestrate the transformation of field medical excellence through enterprise-wide best practice implementation, standardization of high-value medical activities, and strategic capability building programs • Direct comprehensive budget management for Greater China Pharma Medical, with executive oversight of resource optimization, strategic forecasting, and financial governance to maximize ROI • Lead cross-therapeutic area medical project coordination, implementing governance frameworks that ensure strategic prioritization and operational excellence across the portfolio • Design and govern medical compliance architecture, establishing frameworks that uphold the ethical standards while enabling business agility and innovation • Spearhead medical innovation and digital transformation initiatives that fundamentally enhance medical operations, stakeholder engagement, and competitive differentiation • Architect and drive the Medical Launch Excellence strategy within cross-functional teams, ensuring flawless execution and market-leading impact • Establish and lead periodic Greater China medical performance reviews, providing executive oversight on operations, budget utilization, and strategic project prioritization • Define the strategic measurement framework including key performance indicators (KPIs) and impact metrics that drive accountability and demonstrate value creation • Cultivate and leverage strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Medical TA Teams, CSO/CSU, RWE Global Team, Finance, Medical Hub, and Global Medical Operations • Serve as the executive liaison for the Global Medical Operations & Effectiveness team, ensuring strategic alignment and influence across the global organization • Chair strategic working groups to drive performance enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives • Pioneer innovative solutions and cultivate an agile mindset throughout the medical organization, positioning the function to anticipate and proactively respond to evolving healthcare dynamics About you **Key Qualifications and Competencies:** + Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., BS, MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, DVM) or related degree desired + Executive-level experience in Medical Affairs, with demonstrated mastery in Medical Excellence leadership + Proven track record in architecting and implementing transformative Medical Excellence frameworks with measurable business impact at global and regional levels + Demonstrated success in leading large-scale organizational transformation initiatives with significant cross-functional complexity + Exceptional expertise in product launch excellence, with particular emphasis on therapeutic area strategy development and execution + Established ability to navigate complex matrix environments while delivering superior business outcomes + Recognized strategic leadership in medical innovation and digital transformation within the pharmaceutical industry **Core Leadership Competencies:** + Strategic vision and ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable medical strategies + Executive presence with exceptional stakeholder management skills at senior leadership levels + Sophisticated matrix leadership capabilities with proven ability to influence without direct authority + Advanced cross-cultural communication skills with experience navigating global and regional dynamics + Demonstrated change leadership with ability to drive organizational transformation + Track record of building high-performing teams + Strategic risk management with demonstrated judgment in complex decision-making scenarios **Pursue** **_progress_** **, discover** **_extraordinary_** Better is out there.
