Position Summary:
U.S. Got People is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Medical Assistant (PRN) to support clinical operations at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. Education:
High school diploma or GEDGraduate of a CAAHEP– or ABHES-accredited medical assistant training program, or a U.S. Armed Forces medical services training programCertification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossExperience:
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 3 yearsImmunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):
Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza (flu) vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)Responsibilities May Include:
Retrieve and maintain patient medical recordsAssist providers during exams and proceduresTransport patients to and from clinical areasVerify chart completion and documentationObtain lab and imaging results for reviewAnswer phones and relay messages accuratelyReport and manage damaged or unsafe equipmentSupport patient flow and provide basic direct care as instructedContact patients regarding appointments and follow-upSchedule appointments and manage remindersScan and upload patient documents into electronic recordsPerform receptionist and clerical support dutiesWhy USGP?
