You’ll work side by side with awesome providers and teammates, helping patients feel their best while keeping the clinic running smoothly! **What You'll Be Doing:** + **Getting Patients Ready to Shine** – Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care! + **Hands-On Clinical Work** – Administer meds, give immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures like wound care, suture removal, and more. + **Tech Savvy & Detail-Oriented** – Keep patient records up to date in our electronic medical records (EMR) system. + **Team Player Extraordinaire** – Support providers, participate in team huddles, and help keep the clinic running like a well-oiled machine. + **Patient Educator** – Help patients understand their treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care. **What You Bring to the Table:** + **Education:** High School Diploma or Equivalent and Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program + **Certification:** Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – Required at time of hire and must be maintained. + **Certification:** Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting). + **Knowledge & Skills -** Knowledge of POCT, Immunizations, and Injections – You’ll be giving shots like a pro! + **Strong Problem-Solving Skills** – You think on your feet and adapt quickly. + **Excellent Organization & Time Management** – You keep things running like a well-oiled machine. + **Customer Service Rockstar** – Patients feel comfortable and cared for in your hands. + **Tech-Savvy** – Comfortable with Microsoft applications and EMR systems. + **Radiology Certification** _(if applicable)_ – If the role requires X-ray functions, you must have radiology training from your MA program or a validated competency checklist. **Working at University Health is about making a difference.
