We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support HCT providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient patient flow, high-quality patient care, and a positive clinical experience. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative team setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport HCT providers during patient encounters within the facilityManage patient traffic flow and assist with follow-up care per provider instructionsPrepare exam rooms and patients for practitioner encountersPre-assess patients by reviewing medical history, collecting current information, and obtaining/documenting vital signs (e.g., hearing, vision, blood pressure) according to clinical guidelinesIntegrate medical records, specialist reports, and patient communications into the electronic medical record (EMR)Assist in managing patient concerns and ensuring timely resolutionSchedule appointments for labs, radiology, specialists, and follow-up visits as ordered by providersProvide patient education as directed by providersParticipate in the interviewing, selection, orientation, and training of new team membersMaintain department Quality Improvement (QI) standardsPerform daily cleaning and restocking of exam rooms and complete QI log checkoffsRequired Skills & Qualifications2 years of experience as an MACertified or Registered Medical Assistant (MA or CMA)Basic phlebotomy experienceStrong patient care and customer service skillsFamiliarity with medical documentation and electronic health recordsAbility to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in Gastroenterology (GI) and Endoscopy (ENDO)Flexibility to float to other Procedure Suite locationsOpen to work 12 hours shift as neededHours: M-F - 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM
