Medical Assistant
Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description Our medical assistants are integral to providing exceptional patient care. They work closely with our physicians, demonstrating compassion, efficiency, and teamwork. Our practice focuses on creating a supportive and professional environment where both patients and team members thrive. Responsibilities + Rooming patients and obtaining their vitals. + Performing phlebotomy, including up to 40-60 patients per day. + Scheduling appointments and maintaining an organized clinic. + Assisting physicians during procedures. + Managing back office tasks such as taking medical history. + Ensuring cleanliness and order in the clinic. Essential Skills + Venipuncture and phlebotomy skills, with certification (CPT1). + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. + Experience in medical assisting, both front and back office. + Proficiency in medical terminology and patient care. + Minimum of 6 months of clinical experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred. + Experience in a fast-paced clinical environment with heavy blood draw responsibilities. + Flexibility in schedule to accommodate weekend shifts. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:15 am to 3:45 pm, with the possibility of weekend shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redwood City, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
