Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient experiences by welcoming patients and ensuring a safe environment. You will maintain office and exam room cleanliness and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment for patient care, adhering to infection control policies and procedures. Responsibilities + Perform and document patient intake vitals including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate. Notify clinicians of any abnormal findings. + Conduct patient interviews based on age appropriateness and specialty needs, accurately documenting and updating medical records to include chief complaint, current medications, allergies, vaccine history, medical, surgical, family, social histories, barriers to care, and home status. + Obtain necessary medical records, consultation notes, discharge records, diagnostic, and laboratory results for clinician review and follow-up treatment. + Prepare patients for clinician examinations, ensure clinician orders are performed and accurately documented. + Assist clinicians with age-appropriate vision and hearing screenings, electrocardiograms, suture removal, ear lavages, urine cauterization, ear piercing, wound care, specialty procedures, and emergency responses under proper clinician supervision. Essential Skills + Medical knowledge + Phlebotomy skills + Customer service abilities + Medical assisting proficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification Work Environment This position is based in a clinic environment with varied shifts including every other Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and every other Saturday from 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lakeland, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $43000.00/yr.
