Job Description
The back office float medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, handling both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. The role supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Responsibilities
Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision.Support clinician and care management teams in chronic disease management.Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.Take and record vitals, with preference for manual vitals.Communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.Assess emergencies and act accordingly.Float between locations as patient queue demands.Essential Skills

The position is 100% onsite in a pediatric clinic, occasionally floating between sites. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, and every other Saturday, 7:45am-12pm. The clinics are located in Miami Beach, Midtown, Brickell, and Blue Lagoon, Miami, FL.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25000.00 - $30000.00/yr.
