Job Title: Part-Time Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a Private Practice. This role is required on Fridays when the physician sees patients in a suburban office located near Hinsdale, IL. The position involves assisting with rooming patients, cleaning exam rooms, managing inventory, scheduling appointments, assisting with blood draws, and taking vitals. You will also be expected to fill in for the receptionist as needed, handling phone calls and scheduling appointments.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with rooming patients and cleaning exam rooms.
+ Manage inventory and schedule appointments.
+ Perform blood draws and take patient vitals.
+ Fill in for the receptionist, fielding phone calls and scheduling appointments.
+ Provide patient care and manage electronic health records.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in training for a higher degree (PA, NP, MD, etc.).
+ Experience with blood draws/phlebotomy.
+ Strong computer skills and comfort with EMRs, specifically EPIC.
+ Experience with rooming, scheduling, and triage.
+ Familiarity with internal medicine or gastroenterology is ideal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Comfortable with administrative tasks such as taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, and greeting patients.
+ Experience with medical records and electronic health records.
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus, not required.
Work Environment
Patient appointments scheduled from 9 am to 12 pm on Fridays, allowing for extended hours until 4:30 pm if desired. The practice focuses on providing individualized care with longer appointment times of 1-2 hours and a maximum of 4 patients per day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hinsdale, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
